Had a 2hr chat with MCM this evening on the dog and bone. Please send a mail when you've got a ticktock. I'll check it out with BRF, but somehow I don't think it's his game. We'll see. It's Fred C's birthday today, we won the junior div champs twice, and he died when he hit a wall. That's why I use it. Can you believe Phil Thomas is 49 today. I looked after him in the dark days after the Peace Race fiasco. Obviously can't say much on this board, or any other for that matter. It's chimney corner stuff. MCM told DD that I wanted to be the moderator. Laughs all round. Anyway who wants this lot on board. I sent a message to Steve asking him to put Ireland in with England ,Scotland, and Wales as in cycling terms we have always been close. Do you think it's a sensible idea? Hey listen, have you any idea who spent 4000 characters writing The Detective? I couldn't be bothered blowing every statement to pieces. Nobody gave a [censored] about it anyway in the end. People used to write in with hooks on purpose to have a witty retort. Cantona here trawling the seas casting wide for a big sea slug in the cod end. Remember that one. Got him. Two more to go. 'Ready to set sail Mr Christian?' Oooh no. Not John Wayne, please tell me I'm going Maaaad. I think I'll start drinking.
Keep this to yourself - but have been doing some research on the Irish/British
cycling scene - with a well known writer.
He gets the kudos - for me it's a labour of love - no sheikels involved.
My point - British and Irish cycling has always been close, very close.
Have managed to dig up some stuff on the legendary Tom Simpson and our own Shay Elliot.
My coach from years ago in Dublin - worked with Simpson and Elliot in the 1960's.
Peter Crinnion gave me access to all his stuff and stories (Peter was the second Irish professional rider after SE).
Peter's thoughts about TS and SE are very very informative.
Elliot and Simpson were very close and it hit SE very hard when TS died.
Managed to get to speak with SE's relatives and have seen some correspondence between SE and TS.
Move the film on - look at Kelly and Roche and Millar and Yates and Sherwen.
All worked together when they could.
Fabulous.
The amount of English/Welsh and Scots teams that come over here to compete, bear this out.
We had your own Chris Boardman here giving coaching sessions to our amateur boys (whether you like Boardman or not - the man managed to win on the continent and his insights are useful).
I have no idea who the Detetive was/is - saw the long mails on the other channel.
It wasn't me.
I wam putting together a mail to MCM (I know MCM's been ill - so that's why I have stayed away - didn't want to bother MCM).

Care to enlighten us Fixit ?
Sure
Why has the [censored] his Eyes closed when it screams in the Morning?
Because it knows it by Heart.
Hope my English is not to bad.

Thanks for that.
Hi Lim & Fred C
Am getting back into full sarcastic mode after illness. so will start posting soon.
Well we should have the whole ES shebang over here, the w****rs included like PGM.
I'll e-mail BRF to get him to join and a couple of others I can think of.
It needs livening up with a good bit of European, thought I'd better put it that way, rather than British, don't want to add you to our ranks Lim and upset the applecart.
It would certainly give these a run for their money.

Very good English indeed. We say cocks crow, not cocks scream.

Please do not use the word Shekels. That is the sacred currency of Israel, you could face a lenghty jail sentence for abuse. It has about as much credibility in the outside world as Monpoly money..errrrr No it hasn't.

What's going on here? Two sentences and ***'s already. I hope it refers to writers and not w****rs. Right so, that O'Velogal is sacked and you can now be the the Leading Lady in our remake of the John Wayneker classic? 'The Quiet Man'. O'Velogal can now be the cleaner in Auld Mothers Caseys Craic House bar. Rotrax, is that Robert Townsend? La di da di da, dum di dum di dum.

So, again, how was [censored] Jewish?
Perhaps if you put down the bottle of booze and sobered up before posting, you could engage in an intelligent conversation.
'intelligent conversation'????? WTF Iknowtest???? You my friend are simply the most stupid person I've ever had the pleasure to talk to? Every. You have failed time and time again to a) think b) understand c) appreciate d) stop being gay

i officially second Sshusi's post.
Iknowtest, get the fcuk away from me...what a total [censored].

(of course this wouldn't happen but let's see where this might take us).
He brings 'er home to meet the mother, of a Friday. That would be a good script.
Had another think about this one. You're right. Lufty Finkelstein invites Zelda Velogal the local bike, for Shabat supper. Lufty tells his orange haired Mama that the new love of his life is a ski bunny and a surf babe. Abba (papa) can't wait wait for a bit of glam at the table. However Mrs Finkelstein has other ideas about a future daughter in law. Is that the scenario you are thinking of. We must do the Musical first though. New leading lady now she's pretty and witty and bright. I feel a song coming through.
