It is a pity that amongst all you learned young men there is none of
    you that can offer
an answer to DOMS other than 'put up with it'.
    It can be quite incapacitating.
With DOMS I find myself moving stiffly like a real old man.
But after three days of no weight lifting - I can move easy - yet -
I'm still seventy years old - and that hasn't changed
Sometime I wonder why I do weight lifting.

Because it makes you popular with hot young babes? ;-)

Honestly, if I get a case of DOMS that makes me that stiff, I'll sit
down and do some deep breathing and stretching, and that really makes a
    big difference.

Granted, I'm only 43 so time will tell!

For me, anywhere from a few hours to one day.
    Depends on what I did.
I started feeling today's triceps workout when I got up at 20:00. and I
    finished my workout at 09:00.

Well I can't say I NEVER get them, but usually it's a cold or flu
coming on, or just a day when my back alignment is very bad. I'm not
sure if that qualifies as DOMS, or back pain.

Life has turned out surprises in the past.
    One never knows!

One thing I am very good at, it's political predictions. I predicted
BC would be the greatest pres since JFK, he was. And I predicted GWB
would turn out to be the biggest nutcase, [censored] to ever hold
    office, he is.
Hillary Clinton will not run for president as a democrat, ever. We've
had enough of losing for awhile, and she is absolutely DESPISED by 99%
    of america.

Or just be half-way polite, agree to disagree and have an intelligent
    discussion without any name calling...

It's actually a lot more fun IMHO.

    Stop being an idiot.

C'mon now, I'm doing better. I only slipped a few times in the last
    few days.

Yeah, old guys got thick skin. But it never ceases to amaze me how
younger guys think we care because they are younger. We had our "day
in the sun", and there'll always be people older than you, and younger
    than you.

    Yes, you have actually. :-)
    It's been refreshingly pleasant.

And somewhat useful, which is nice.

    Cheers!

    Always.

It's too bad that youth is wasted on the young eh?

I just wish (all the time!) that I'd known then what I know now!

I'd have the world by the shorthairs. <G>

Ain't it the truth. I just wish I was young right now, when nudity and
lesbians are the chic thing. When I was young it was a no no.

<shrugs> Just go to your local nude beach...
We have one in Austin called "Hippy Hollow".

Here we have the nude beach at Cummington (no, that's not a joke) but
unfortuneately it's been taken over by the gay men population, and
there's nothing there but men now. Although a couple years ago I did
catch a great 4some going on, right out in the open while 20 or so
other people and couples watched, but that was it. It's now a complete
waste of time <sigh> I guess all good things must pass...
