  1. I've noticed that DOMS seems to happen with workouts intermittently without
any pattern in regards to it's occurance. One thing I've noticed is that I
seem to be able to keep it under control by consuming enough protein.

Now occasionally I'll skip breakfast and if I've worked out the previous
night I'll get DOMS around mid-morning. Could DOMS be your muscles saying "I
don't have enough protein to do any more work so don't work me"?

Since I eat low carb, I always get plenty of protein...
    and I still get DOMS.

The intensity of DOMS depends on the intensity of my workouts, or if I
    change anything in my routine.

I don't mind DOMS so I don't worry much about it.

    Cheers!

    Kerry was a ringer... <sigh>
Voting for either one would have been voting for same [censored], different
piles. The ONLY thing Kerry had going for him is that he was not Bush!

That last election just showed how many people Baaaaa and eat grass. :-P

Delayed onset? Like how long? I guess it doesn't matter, since I've
been doing the same routine for 20 years, with no variations, or very
    little at least.

Nonsense. I admit Kerry isn't perfect, but he'd be 1000x better than
    this idiot.

True. The wackos on the radio are already gearing up for another
futile fight against Hillary. There will be so much wailing and
gnashing of teeth of right wing radio and in the end Hillary will be a
lot like Bush, Bill, Jimmy, Reagan, Ford, etc.

What are you talking about idiot? Hillary will NOT be running for
president. There's no chance it will happen, that's just repubicans
    wishful thinking.

Just an observation Bill (FWIW) - I think you are overusing the word
'idiot'. If someone has an opinion contrary to yours, it doesn't
automatically make him an idiot. If you can scramble around for another word
or two in that vast vocabulary of yours (asswipe, fool, dipshit etc) and
maybe find a more appropriate word for the occasion?

  12. It is a pity that amongst all you learned young men there is none of
    you that can offer
an answer to DOMS other than 'put up with it'.
    It can be quite incapacitating.
With DOMS I find myself moving stiffly like a real old man.
But after three days of no weight lifting - I can move easy - yet -
I'm still seventy years old - and that hasn't changed
Sometime I wonder why I do weight lifting.

You do realize you are mentally ill, don't you? If you hurt like this,
ANY OF YOU, after lifting, you need to either cut back, or quit.

For me, anywhere from a few hours to one day.
    Depends on what I did.
I started feeling today's triceps workout when I got up at 20:00. and I
    finished my workout at 09:00.
