I own both of his CD's. As well as Lloyd Banks, G-Unit, Black Eyed Peas,

I like everything you mentioned including Outkast. I just think 50 cent is a
bad influence. I don't like it and would not want my kids to like it..Like I
said..Thank God my kids see 50 as a bad man.

But you're not truly diverse unless you can appreciate all music. A music
collection without country music(Cash, Willie, Loretta Lynn, George Jones)
is incomplete. Comparing the minimal musicianship of rap to the REAL
musicianship of country music is laughable. Rap has sucked since the early
90s.

He's just another product being marketed to the masses. I can see
some talent there, but I don't know if it's really 'art', then again,
what the hell do I know.

I love the old classics but I could easily go 10 years without hearing
any of it. When you know every word and note, it's hard to get that
'spontanious' excitement going. I've been listening to a lot of
instrumental stuff lately.

Which describes most rap stars. There are a few good ones out there, but
they are rare to be sure. Shocking your kids are into Zep.

Whatever happened to playing an instrument? Remember that? In the 70s
everyone in a band played an instrument and in many cases even the lead
singer couldn't get away with standing there and singing without an
instrument, except in certain cases where he/she had a unique singing
voice and/or lots of charisma and personality....

This is one of my huge problems with rap....and all this american idol
[censored]....I'd like to see "battle of the bands" instead of american

I know good music Brink...I just post about Zep alot because they are still
one of my favorites. I'm not totally nuts on Zep. But..the music still
stands the test of time well and I enjoy listening to it. I can talk much
further about lots of other music. Funny..for many years..REM was my
favorite band.
