Welcome to a fairly typical monsoon season in Colorado. :-P From mid
July through August moist subtropical air blows in from the Sea of
Cortez (I guess that's the PC name for Gulf of California) and/or the
Gulf of Mexico (no doubt soon to be renamed the Sea of Quetzelcoatl or
somesuch). Anyhoo, as the air rises up to Colorado's elevation, it
cools and dumps its moisture. Annoying MTBers, hikers, and other
outdoor types till Labor Day. Unlike the last few days, it's typically
an afternoon and evening thing though.

Arrrgggghhh!!! I'm on my way to Vail on Wednesday as I have been this
time of year for the past 6. It's always been a drought. I better not
hear anyone complain about forest fires.

wah wah! I'd take the rain over the 2.5 hour ride I did today at 102° F and
30% humidity (that's high around here) and the ride I did Wednesday at
110°F.

Suck it up, girl!

Give me back my 'Ride from Hell', it was more pleaseant.

I practiced some TKD moves later in the day, which was also good for

I would think it would be wet, since there wasn't much in the way of
sunshine today. But it was bone-dry when we rode it, and iirc there'd
been rain recently ... just not the torrential downpour we had
yesterday.

Course, who knows what Loveland looked like.

It's rained two days in a row and you're whinging? Just be glad you don't
live in Europe. Yesterday was the first dry day we've had in weeks (and it
rained last night).
