    guess you can only flame me...

    Apart from Bromptons, what are decent makes of folding bikes?

    And what are folding bikes like for distances of, say, 10 miles or so?

    You may want to check out www.bikefriday.com. Trek makes 2 models as well.

    Some people really like them and claim they ride the same as a standard
    bike. I still need convincing.

    Maybe if you put a steering damper on it. And those 16" wheels like
    potholes even less than standard sized wheels.
    I don't know what you mean by 'decent', but I'm looking at a cheap-o
    Dahon for travel.
