Quoted message said:Sure, we need the rain badly. But last week and this week have been
filled with thunder, lightning, and rain at unpredictable intervals.
It's been the same deal here. It's hit, or miss, and lately, it's been
missing a lot. I've got the next three days lined up to ride, and the
weather looks good.
Quoted message said:I'm not actually complaining about all that, though it can be
frustrating. My problem is the pressure changes. That's right.
Arthritis. My knees have been a misery all week. It's hard to think of
doing *anything* active when I feel this way. Seems like I spend my day
trying to bend, then straighten my knees in futile attempts to make the
ache go away. Pain relievers don't seem to do much, either.
Heh, of late, I've been landscaping for a living. I'm hurting regardless
of

I imagine they'll only get worse as I get older.
You can count on it.
Whenever I think to myself: hey, get away from work early, no kids sports
tonite, wife is off doing something, time for a bike ride. Oops, shouldn't
have said it out loud. Distant thunder crack, clouds settling in, arthritis
acting up, skys getting darker, alligator drops coming down, cloudburst.
Next time, have to avoid thinking about riding. Maybe a code phrase, I know,
substitute: mountain biking = cleaning out the basement.
Try that again - get away from work early, no kids sports, wife is
elsewhere, time for "cleaning out the basement". Result - sunshine, blue
sky, 75 degrees. Arthritis: none.
I have to say I really enjoy "cleaning out the basement". Often.
