  1. Alright, word on the street in my locale of late is that Bath and Body works
is having a 75% off sale on Massages Oils and creams.. I dont really "need"
or "knead" any now (lol) BUT.. wanted to poll the group and see who prefers
what for oils/creams/lotions.. AND to get some suggestions on the best
carrier oil... (re: price, glide, skin health, etc.)

    Thanks!

I'm off to do some gardening.

    First... I am in PA.

As for this post, I can't stand the smells of the massage
    oils from Bath and Body.

My main lotion is Biotone's Nutri-Naturals Lotion.

My main oils is olive or jojoba. You have to be careful
using olive as it is very oily and stays on the skin for
some time. I think jojoba absorbs into the skin pretty well.

I use pure therapeutic grade essential oils also.

I have tried various kinds of lotions, cremes, oils from all
sort of companies. I just had to stop and stick to one or
two. I do get this blend of base oils from Lotus (I think
that is what its called) that I really like too.

I've come to like Biotone's Dual Purpose Creme, use a lot
for slick-y glides, then enough absorbs that it gives a
little drag for deeper work. Or just a little -- takes a
bit of using it before you know what's just right for what
you're doing. I also like Biotone Herbal Select oil, which
is kind of opaque, though it isn't a lotion. It has
extracts of arnica and white ginger in it, along with some
others. Might have to get out to B&B and check out what
    they've got left...

Can I speak, as a client? Permission assumed! I've
experienced what I believe are 3 different types of
lubricant. Greasy lotion. Non-Greasy lotion. Oil.

Least favorite after the massage: oil. I don't like to leave
    all slicked up and perfumy.

Middle ground: greasy lotion. Still leave feeling greased
up, but not as slicked up as oil.

    Favorite: Non-greasy lotion.

Do you think my MT's want to know that I would prefer a non-
greasy lotion? What about my MT who uses oil? Do you think
she would be bothered if I mentioned that oil is my least
    favorite lubricant?

As a guy I don't like perfumy lotions or oils; I don't need
    my wife getting suspicious! 😉

As a moderately hairy guy, I don't know if the lotion vs oil
    is significant.

I've become addicted to massage ever since you folks
convinced me to get over the body image quandry. If only I
    had more money!

Which oil or lotion to do you prefer to give happy
    endings with?

I'm guessing you'd prefer olive oil, because it won't absorb
before you're finished, like the jojoba oil or a lotion
might. But that's just a guess.

  6. Teach your wife how to do massage. Both of you do it. Go to
    Adult Ed together, perhaps.

Tell your MT that you don't like the greasy, smelly stuff! I
use lotion on hairy guys so that shouldn't be an issue. I
also don't like leaving from a massage feeling greasy, which
    is why I use lotion.

Just tell her (the therapist, not the wife) you have a
`preference' for the non-greasy, unscented lotion. If she
doesn't normally have it on hand, find out what it is, you
buy it and bring it with you at your appointments. I
wouldn't be offended if a client did this, btw.

I just need to use more of it with a hairy person. With too
little, or with a non-greasy lotion, the hair can pull more,
interrupting that relaxation you get on the table.

You can order from Biotone, I think they sell a sampler pack
so you can try out a variety of their products. There's
several places that sell it online...
    www.massagewarehouse.com, www.bmlbasic.com,
