Only 7 days until my birthday. "Shop early, shop often, shop
big." Good gin and cheap chocolate preferred. Or is it cheap
gin and good chocolate? I can never remember. . . .A diamond
bracelet would be nice. . .

How about some vinegar-based coleslaw with lots of cumin
and/or cilantro? As hot as it is in Cow Hill, you don't want
mayo on top of ribs.Happy birthday!

sentence, it strikes me as very funny in a revolting-food-
combo sort of way.Actually, I'd settled on some sort of slaw after a quick
trip to the store proved that no vegetables worth eating
were available. I also got some sort of melon (crenshaw,
maybe?) and a couple of avocados and some lemons, which,
with chili powder and a chiffonade of basil and some lemon
verbena and some olive oil, I'll conjure into a salad.Quoted message said:

It's not terrifically hot in Cow Hill at present. Mid 90s,
is my guess. Regardless, I have on my new birthday present
swimsuit (no, not birthday suit, swimsuit), and the pool
is calling.modom

This sounds very good, but D's doing South Beach, so carbs
are not an option. Actually, ribs probably are verboten, as
well, but it's my birthday and I get to choose.modom
