's true. I live in FW, like plodzilla, and hills are scarce
-- there's a few around the golf course west of downtown,
and around TCU ... not much else.

You have a faulty memory then. The Austin-San Antonio
corridor is the edge of Texas hill country. Fairly good
relief for running training. Up to 600 feet. Cars often
break down climbing the hill to Lake Traverse on a hot
summer day.

Now Houston pretty much lacks relief. They shut down an exit
on one of the triple-layer freeway interchanges to hold the
soapbox derby. Even so, you get some 20-foot hills running
along the Buffalo bayou downtown.
