Pretty much over-priced due to marketing hype. However, it
is better than average, and much better than zensah.

I've worn UA clothing before and it's not that good
for running.

Your best bet for running clothes IMO is to try to go online
and get brands like HIND, Insport, Sporthill, Sugoi, etc.
There are a number of places that have good discounts on
running clothes.

ryan i have run 3 marathons in UA long sleeve i have no
complaints i also have run in the heat with the same shirt
still no complaints plodzilla

Actually my experience is that Zensah is better than
UA, and Hind.

BOA makes some nice stuff. I have a pair of their shorts and
my wife wears a shirt of theirs.

Since you can find almost the same material for 1/3 the
price off brand, you are paying 2/3rds for the logo and
impressing your friends with a thick wallet.

Many of those branded athletic products, UA, Nike, etc, use
essentially the same format: polyester fabric, because it is
bascially plastic woven to breath, but it doesn't absorb
sweat and hold it, like cotton or wool.

knowing that, you can save a good bit of money by
reading labels.

For cooler weather gear, I've run in both Nike dri-fit long
sleeves and Wal-Mart brand "Starter" long sleeves ... they
both keep me warm and dry. The Wal-Mart shirt was $10 and
works fine. The Nike shirt was $30+ and the sleeve is
unravelling.

I've also had good luck with Starter branded sleeveless
shirts, again under $10.

You can also save a bunch looking for running gear at expos
held before large marathons and other races .. usually you
have to dig through some bins of mixed stuff, but I've found
great buys.

The [censored]'s brand, "Fitness Gear" isn't bad. I recently got a
decent shirt there for $14 that's made of CoolMax and does
the job wicking the sweat away from me. Just as good as the
$30-40 Nike, Adidas, New Balance, and Asics ones.
