  1. Hello!
I have know about the brand Under Armour from TV, great shirts and
    great logo but expensive.
With that, I made some purchase of it thru www.goldmanbros.com.
Here are some of my opinions.
    Lets' start with the pants.
I bought two shorts pants, both Heat Gear.
Under Armour Heat Gear Loose-Fit Cargo Shorts-Sandstorm 0418 - good,
    likes the pocket. B+
Under Armour Heat Gear Loose-Fit Pleated Shorts-Sandstorm 0417 - not
    good, EASILY STAINED. C-
Both pants does not have deep pockets and hate that subdivide pocket.

    Shirts:
Under Armour Golf All Season Loose-Fit Performance Polo Shirt-Midnight
    Navy 0492 - its very comfortable. A
Under Armour Heat Gear Cage Jacket-Midnight Blue 0251 - Its Ok. There
is a rubber rope at bottom. Good for sports not casual wear. A-
Under Armour Outdoor Flats Guide Longsleeve Shirt-Lake Blue 1004204 -
Average, I like the part where you can have the sleeve down or up and
the vent around the shirts. But, there are couple thing it is really
bad. It is easily stain, the right pocket w/ the velcro...doesn't
close well...it perks up. Then there is the left pocket. It's bad
design. When you try to put passport, airplane tickets and document,
the pocket will puff up...you look like having a B cup breast...this
    is bad for guys. C-

Under Armour Heat Gear Full T-Shirt-White 0039 - very
good...especially in hot weather. I try this when I was in the tropic
during summer. You feel less sweats hanging onto your body. This is
the shirts that the US military are wearing in Mid-East. One minor
thing about it is, trying to put it on when your body is wet...is a
    pain. A

Well, this is my experience with the Under Armour.

  2. US is not bad, but you can do better for less $ if you're looking for running
gear. For example, their tops generally don't have zippers at the neck,
which is a useful feature for running gear.

I don't really understand the perspective you're approaching this from --
for example, you talk about the usefulness for the purpose of airline travel,
but the clothes you're reviewing are not designed for that.

  3. I absolutely love the Under Armour loose gear shirt. It feels like
silk, and wicks sweat extremely well. It is definitely far superior to
    the other dry weave brands.

Someone(probably my whiff) gave me a pair of tights a few years ago
for a Xmas gift and I found them fantastic. Since it is tacky to ask how
much someone spends on a gift I have no idea about bang for the buck.
What I do know is they kept me warm and comfortable in some damn cold NE
winters and they still look like new. I would not hesitate to buy
    another pair.

I will assume unless someone convinces me differently that product line
    is pricey but good quality.
