For whatever reason, the AMA listing for Dr. Chung no longer lists him as having admitting privileges nor as being board certified in cardiology.
Only a few weeks ago Dr. Chung claimed vigorously that he did have these privileges and that the previous AMA information (Doctor supplied and not verified (in the case of admitting privileges at least) was correct.
I repeat what others have voiced on this NG. However reasoned his advice may seem, I personally would not ever follow the advice let alone trust, someone who has lied to the AMA about his credentials.

Let me add one thing to this thread. After posting I went and checked other doctors on the AMA site. It seems that the AMA has revised their information database and now no longer lists hospital affiliations for any of its members. It also shows the specialization as self designated for all the AMA members.
So there is nothing from the AMA changes that we can use to verify or dispute Dr. Chung's credentials. I would personally still never follow this nut's advice and stand by everything else I have said about this zealot who devotes his life to internet flames wars. What a waste of a good education.

Well, I don't think that anyone can say for sure that Zocor (simvastatin) has caused brain damage for Zee, but according to some scientific articles the more lipid-soluble the statin, the greater propensity it has to cross the blood- brain barrier and affect the central nervous system and simvastatin is the most lipophilic drug in its class.
