You just think it is snowing there...in 2 days the snow has
now reach above ankle deep here. Ah the joys of a Manitoba
spring! Just think where else can you go swimming and make
snow angels all on the same beach.

I DO live in San Diego. And the weather is wonderful!
Yesterday was my mother's 83rd birthday. She lives in the
exact center of Montana. After we chatted on the phone she
called me back to say, "I forgot to tell you that it's been
snowing here for two days." What can I say?

My condolences. It was 64 degrees in my house this morning.
I turned on the heat. We very much need the rain, though.

    -Barb,

So do we, but I'd prefer it as rain, particularly in May!

Our high temp went from 85 on Tuesday to 40 on Wednesday.
Today we've had a mix of rain and snow. It's supposed to get
    into the 70's this weekend.

My local garden center has signs up among the annuals. They
say something like "To our transplanted California friends:
It is NOT SAFE to plant tender annuals before 5/30, no
    matter how warm it gets."

Me, I DON'T LIKE having more than warm and warmer, with
occasional rain and perpetual blue skies. I put up with NE
Ohio winters for 45 years and that was enough!

    Hmmm...

Now I am rethinking my plan to come to Colorado for the
    summer. 🙂

How often does this type of swing happen in Colorado, in
    particular Denver, or Colorado Springs?

Ordinarily I'd agree, but it looks as though our snowstorm
is passing east as hailstorms and tornadoes which isn't a
    blessing aywhere.

Heh - in New England we have weather.

As we like to say "Welcome to beautiful Providence, where 9
days out of 10 it rains cats and dogs, except December
through March when it snows like a son of a [censored]."

I'm just curious where the OP is who said they got snow. I
don't ever want to live in a place that gets snow in May.

Summer in Colorado on the "eastern plains" is usually quite
hot and dry but cools down as much as 20 degrees as soon as
the sun goes down. Nights are usually quite comfortable. A
light sweater is all that's necessary at night and in the
mountains, where it's usually cooler due to the altitude. I
have never seen it snow in July. :-)
