Damn. I see that as a death trap.......for me at least. I'm

Um, not to be a jerk or anything, but how can you possibly
know that it's only been ridden by 10 people? Is there a 24-
hour guard station at the base, and barbed wire all around?

Regardless, I'm sure that you're right -- very few people
would dare such a thing. Your pictures are always an
inspiration.

Because I was riding with the person that put the
route together.

It's an invitation only thing. Impossible to find unless
you're with him.

I couldn't follow it again, even though I've ridden it once.

You'd be amazed what you can get up with enough leg
strength, balance, and skill.

Jon Bond Rode 3.5 hours today - .5 hours road (to and from),
2 hours fast singletrack/fireroad, 1 hour technical fun.

Especially with a fully.

You'd be amazed what you can get up with enough leg
strength, balance, and skill.

I always find that the limit for me with such things is rear
tyre grip, almost invariably. The balance is there, the
strength is there, but can't get the power down through the
tyre. Probably has to do with the slippery conditions we
suffer here most of the time...

the strength is there, but can't get the power down

wheel. It is not centered on the rock. In fact it is
downright close to the left edge. I would venture that the
slippage factor here would be very likely. We don't know
what the outcome of this attempt was. If I were a betting
man, I would put my money on slippped off. Still, it's more
than I would have attempted.

Excellent shot. it's a nice change with the sharp rockiness
rather than the smooth petrified sand most often associated
with Moab.

in keeping with that thread on that "other" mtb site you're
so involved in right now, would this be a "pouch" ;-)

It looks technical, but totally ridiable to me. That kind of
rock has great traction and I know Pete relishes such
climbing. I'm sure there was dabbage on the ride but I bet
this move was completed successfully.

There were literally dozens of these moves on that ride.
I din't clean all of them on the first shot, but I did
clean that one.

And someone just happened to have a camera pointed in the
right direction.
