  1. Hi folks,

Well, I'm still busy going nowhere - or doing the "three
steps forward two steps back" dance. I've not been posting
my WI here for fear of boring you all to tears each
week......so you get it all in one go today ๐Ÿ™‚

So, let me see how the last few weeks have been : there was
the 2lb gain, and then the 2lb loss, then down 0.4 again
last week, and then up 1 this week. The overall trend is a
gradual downwards one - but boy is it ever slow!

One thing I have changed is to go back to once weekly WIs. I
was weighing every day. Now, this was all very well, and it
did sometimes give you an indication of trend but.... Well,
it was taking me back to those dark days when my daily mood
was influenced by what the scales said in the morning.
Bearing in mind how much my weight can fluctuate during a
week, this was not helpful. Being up one day did not mean I
was going to be up for the week, but it did mean I was down
for the day! Even weighing the night before was not a decent
indication as to what WI was to bring.... So, I've stopped
it. I now weigh once a week. I try not to think about it too
much inbetween times and allow myself to be guided by how
I'm feeling, how my clothes fit, that kind of thing. I stand
on the scales every Thursday morning, take what they dish
out to me, deal with it there and then. I sort my action
plan for the week ahaead, and then get back on with life.

This week I'm up 1 lb. I'm fighting off a sore throat, and
this week has been non-standard becuase of the holiday
Monday here - so there's that to take into account. However,
I'm feeling leaner, I know my shape has changed again. All
the walking I'm doing has noticeably had an effect on the
shape of my thighs and my lower back - and that's what I'm
concentrating on. It's just a lb, and it could easily be
gone again twice over by next week. Last week is over, this
is a new week, and we'll see what next WI brings ๐Ÿ™‚

Here;s hoping this week is kind to us all - and if
anyone is hogging the whooosh fairy - send her over here
    please! *grin*

  3. You are not alone in this department. I am going through
it right now myself. Try changing your menus especially
your breakfasts to see if that helps. I always have cereal
for breakfast but now am having other things and the scale
dropped down this morning. Try changing going low carb for
a day or 2. Anything to shake things up. Your body is
knows that you are on a diet and has gone into starvation
mode. Now is the time to keep it guessing. Good luck and
    don't give up.

  4. Sounds like you have a working plan so work it.

The scale cannot be the sole determinant of what's happening
with your body. As mentioned, your clothing and how you feel
    are also part of
it. Besides, over all you seem to be holding your own and
that is not bad or wrong.

By the way, what is _YOUR_ goal weight versus the "official"
WW goal for someone your height?

  10. As you can see from the figures below - I hit WW goal ages back, went up a
bit, and am now nearly back down again. My WW goal is 126lbs. Personally
I'd like to be a few pounds below that to give me that leeway....but I'm not
sure that's possible with my current muscle mass. I was at 118lbs for a
bit, which I loved, and kinda hanker after now. However, I was actually
slightly larger size wise than I am now, 7lbs heavier. Mind you, I am a
different shape - so not all my "very skinny" clothes fit me because of that
rather than the weight. So, on balance, I think my personal goal and my WW
one are the same - 126lbs please ๐Ÿ™‚

The way I'm looking at it at present is that, give or take
the odd pound, I'm still maintaining my weight at more
than 25lbs less than I used to be, and that's a pretty
    awesome thing.

Sounds like you have a working plan so work it.

The scale cannot be the sole determinant of what's
happening with your body. As mentioned, your clothing and
how you feel are also part of
it. Besides, over all you seem to be holding your own and
that is not bad or wrong.

By the way, what is _YOUR_ goal weight versus the

  16. I have to agree that being 25 pounds down from THEN is
awesome. And that you really are not losing ground. It would
be nice if we all could get more accurate bodymass and body
fat info to help know where we are and what factors enter
into our current and optimal weight.

Your exercise level is pretty high and so that makes some of
    the calculations harder.

As you can see from the figures below - I hit WW goal ages
back, went up a bit, and am now nearly back down again. My
WW goal is 126lbs. Personally I'd like to be a few pounds
below that to give me that leeway....but I'm not sure
that's possible with my current muscle mass. I was at
118lbs for a bit, which I loved, and kinda hanker after
now. However, I was actually slightly larger size wise than
I am now, 7lbs heavier. Mind you, I am a different shape -
so not all my "very skinny" clothes fit me because of that
rather than the weight. So, on balance, I think my personal
goal and my WW one are the same - 126lbs please ๐Ÿ™‚

The way I'm looking at it at present is that, give or take
the odd pound, I'm still maintaining my weight at more
than 25lbs less than I used to be, and that's a pretty
    awesome thing.

  17. I know the feeling about the patience but I'm down 2lbs this
week and I am assuming it is due to my juggling the
breakfasts. Try it for a week or 2 to see if it makes a
difference. As they say, breakfast is the most important
meal of the day and it might just get lazy if it is woken up
each morning with the same thing day after day.

  20. Hi, krys, I've gone back to the attitude that if I have done
all I could, move on, don't obsess. Living in right now and
dealing is hard enough without adding to it by worrying
about things I can't change about the past. Take Care

    Hi folks,

Well, I'm still busy going nowhere - or doing the

So, let me see how the last few weeks have been :
    there was the 2lb

    gain,
