If it really is only 4 inches up, wouldn't a simple
sigmoidoscopy be able to give a gastroenterologist a good
enough view to render an opinion?

Wouldn't the colonoscopy have covered this though? It is a
very hard lump that feel like it is under the skin and is
not protruding much.

How far from the prostate would this be? Were exactly is
your prostate?

Sure ... if it was there when you had the Colonoscopy.

Don't know how far up the Prostate is. Can't imagine that
it's much more than 4 inches .... as physician's can examine
using their fingers.

Get it checked. There is also something called an
Anoscope that is a really easy exam. Don't know how far
up it can see.

A colonoscopy could well miss this if it is deep to the
mucosa. Endoscopists should always do a digital rectal
examination beforehand, but some may assume someone
else did one.

Get it checked.
