Cycling back from town today. Myopic aged prat fails to notice the large lady swathed in bright yellow, who cut me up overtaking me and then immediately performed a left turn in front of me. Immediately he was followed by some poor male in a black 4-wheel drive tank thing, who overtook so close he almost side-swiped me. Thing is, the black wheel- drive thing is local, and this is not the first time this overtaking too close has happened. So on my return I have informed Vernon of this, and have suggested that if some point in the future said black 4-wheel drive thing manages to knock me off - if I am deceased, it is highly likely to have been intentional on the part of the driver and I have informed Vernon I'd like the full-weight of CTC legal team brought to bear on it :-(
The rest of the ride was lovely. Amazing how most drivers are courteous and when overtaking me have no problem giving me plenty of room. Great weather too.

Burning bodies is always a PITA - remember the foot'n'mouth epidemic? Stick to the simple old-fashioned methods: sandbag the sucker and then fake a motor accident. There are so many of those that nobody looks closely at them.

Apparently in India the police are supposed to treat all fatalities where a motor vehicle is involved as murder, until proven otherwise. Of course, corruption and a high workload mean that it doesn't work that way in practice, but the idea seems like a good 'un.
