Prior to my week long wild camp, I am planning a walk to
get a feel for hill walking again. (It's been 20 years
since my last hill walk with the boy scouts) I am quite fit
"I cycle dally" I most certainly want to visit the top of
High pike to re-live some childhood memories; my planned
route is as follows.
Starting from Waterhead, heading north through the town, and
picking up the trail passing nook end farm to the east,
still heading North passed the waterfalls, and up to Low
pike. Continuing north up to High Pike, north to Dove Crag,
Hart Crag, Then Westerly past Rydal Head. South towards
Great Rig, Past Rydal Fell, Herron Pike, Nab Scar, and then
South easterly towards the road back to Waterhead.
I'm thinking that this may be too much to achieve in one
day, I would appreciate any comments, suggestions
Thanks in advance
Paul
