Bob Jackson would do it for £80 plus £30 shipping; a plain
colour respray is £65. I'd recommend them from personal
experience, although the prices have gone up a bit since
they did my frames in February.

Chas Roberts is in Croydon, and therefore nearer. He
makes very very nice frames so go in with eyes shut and
without money.

Thank you all for your replies.
I've managed to modify the existing dropouts without causing too much
damage. I had to file the axle hole about 1.5mm closer to the bottom
bracket and all seems to be OK. That saved me a few bob :o)

I'm a great fan of Chas Roberts in Croydon. They did a
lovely job of replacing a chain stay on my Fausto Coppi last

Very nice people with years of experience. The only
downside is that they are often very busy so the work can
take a few weeks.
