such as maybe: removing skin from poultry, thereby saving
lots of points, removing all visible fat from beef and pork,
etc. you get the picture. Thanks to all in advance, Cynthia

I always weigh food at home so when I am away I know the portion of what I
am eating, there is less portion growth this way, Lee

For me, weighing and measuring food has been really
important. You have to scoop that low-fat sour cream out of
the carton with something - it might as well be a measuring
spoon! 1/4 c of hummus sure didn't sound like much, but it
fits nicely in a half pita with veggies.Oh, and read labels. The low fat tortillas at my grocery
store were higher in calories than the regular kind. They
are thicker, and you get fewer in a package, so they were
more expensive, too.--

recipe please? LeeNo Point Singapore Soup:
900ml vegetable stock (made with 2 stock cubes and water is
fine) 1 teaspoon chinese 5 spice powder 1 leek, trimmed,
washed, and sliced fine 1 red onion, likewise 1 red
pepper/capsicum, deseeded and sliced fine 120g Savoy
cabbage/pak choi, finely shredded 120g mushrooms, sliced 2
tablespoons chopped fresh coriander (cilantro) 1 tablespoon
light soy sauce 2 teaspoons sesame seedsPut the stock, 5 spice powder, leek and onion into a pan and
simmer for 15 mins... Add the pepper, cabbage, mushrooms and
coriander/cilantro and simmer for a further 3 minutes.
Season with the soy sauce, ladle into bowls, and garnish
with sesame seeds and sprigs of coriander.I haven't tried it yet, so make no promises! Looks quite
salty, with the stock cube and soy sauce, so you might want
to up your water intake the day you eat it.

advance, CynthiaSquash! It's rarely used in the UK, though maybe more common
in the US, and I love it. It's far less points than
potatoes, and can be used as a filler in the same way. One
favourite dish is squash or pumpkin fried with bacon, and
maybe some barbeque sauce. Works best with butternut squash.Make sure you get anough protein. 1gm per pound lean body
mass is the figure to aim for. The easiest way for me to
achive this is to have a slimfast shake every morning and
add a portion of protein powder, That keeps my fingers out
of the cookie bowl till at least lunch or later if I'm busy.
I also have another portion after a workout every other dayRay
