New hub, old spokes and rim.

I only made one mistake: I laced one leading spoke over
its second trailing spoke (like I know what I'm talking
about!).

What do you think of the Zaffiro's? I reckon they are
bloody good value for money, even though I struggle to get
them on the rim!

I'm still on the set that I put on pre-winter..still got
loads of k's in them yet. £24 for four from Ribbles,
including 4 tubes!. a bargain as far as I'm concerned.

I got them a couple of weeks ago (they've commuted 16
miles/day and done one 200k Audax in that time), they
replaced a pair of worn-out cheapo Michelins I got from
Halfords at the start of winter. They have *much* more grip
than the Michelins and feel more comfortable despite running
at 120psi. Must be the design/compound.

ps, They weren't cheap at £17 each from my LBS. The perils
of impulse buying!

I built a pair of disc hubbed mtb wheels over xmas (not my
first) and must admit to a bit of trepidation before their
first hard ride but now after quite a few rides bombing down
the best of the Peak District supporting my 80+ kgs they're
fine. All a matter of self-belief that you're as capable as
anyone at building decent wheels.
