  1. I didn't eat very wisely on more than one occasion this week
but I did some cardio and some weighhts, which I think has
    countered my attempt at self-sabotage.

    Down 1 to 199 and wonderland 🙂))

I'm a bit happy as you can imagine. Now i need a couple
more weeks of concentration to make sure I don't go back
    into the 200's.

do hope you're more than "a bit" happy. Are you sure you
    aren't a Norwegian from Minnesota?

thinking as I opened your post "boy, I hope he made it this week", and you
didn't disappoint me. I'm so happy for you! Now for some consolidation
work - I never quite felt comfortable in a new decade without a bit of

  15. That reminds me of the time I too loudy told a friend who
asked why the audience at the symphony seemed so reserved. I
said: "They are scandinavian and don't react!" (too many
    overheard me! (G))

  16. Recently the Minnesota Orchestra toured Europe with its new
music director, Osmo Vänskä of Finland. The final concert
was in Lahti, Finland, where Osmo Vänskä conducted the
regional orchestra for several years. During the 3-hour
broadcast of the concert, the radio announcer said several
times that, based on the reaction of the audience, you'd
never know the concert was sold-out to see their beloved
hometown boy and that the people were enjoying themselves,
so subdued and polite was their applause.

And what were the consequences of speaking too loudly when
insulting a people who don't react? No one "accidentally"
tripped you after the concert? Or stared daggers at you?
