  1. Making it up as I go along, with a recipe from Mr.
    Food open.

Red bell pepper - about 1/2 of one onion - 1 medium, halved
longitudinally, then sliced about 1/4" mushrooms - the
better part of a half pound box, sliced garlic - 3 cloves,
sliced olive oil for frying 2 chicken thighs, 2 chicken
drums 16 oz can Red Gold brand petite diced tomatoes ~ 8 oz
tomato sauce a leetle sugar fresh ground black pepper,
dried basil, dried oregano a nice glug of Rob's Rosemount
    Estates Shiraz

Olive oil in my 3 qt All-Clad Sauté pan, the onion,
mushrooms, garlic, and pepper sauteed for about 4-5 minutes.
Those then removed to a bowl and some butter added to the
pan. Browned the chicken in it, added back the veggies,
poured over the tomato products, the rest of the stuff, and
the red wine. It simmers as we speak.

Cooked separately. It was pretty good, considering that I
never did taste it along the way. No leftover spaghetti,
though there's enough chicken and sauce for another
supper for us. That usually means 1) I cooked too much or
    2) Rob didn't especially like it. In this case, I think
it means I shouldn't have eaten that guacamole 45 minutes
    before supper.

Forget to take your medicine again? Barbara is not fat. You
    must be hallucinating.

John, <shaking my head> don't even waste your time with ole
puke breath... She (?) truly represents the example our
parents brought us up to NOT be... as in "if you can't say
something nice... don't say anything at all". And she can't
seem to say anything nice as far as I've seen.

BTW, I've sent you a personal note regarding your cookbooks.

Chicken cacciatore is great leftover. The tomato sauce
    soaked chicken is good cold.

I never think of making this dish... thanks for the
    inspiration!

You're welcome. It was as good tonight as last night.
    Maybe better.
