Indeed. I already pointed out that in 2002, the last year where he was clearly dominent, Armstrong
was miserable in his first stage race. (I haven't checked earlier years).
Another example... Miguel Indurain opened his 1994 season with Ruta del Sol -- he's nowhere to be
found in the results: memoire-du-cyclisme.netruta1994.php

I can't figure out where all the Jan bashing, Krispy tifosi have gone now that their idol shows up
overweight, seriously undertrained (due to new recreational activities), beating Floyd(!) by one
second and getting dropped by a bunch of Div. III riders second time up a Cat 2 hill.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'll go wash my cycling clothing having ridden in the New England slop
this afternoon.
