From VeloNews:
Five-time Tour winner Armstrong started the day with the race leader's yellow jersey, but fell
off the pace to finish 34th at 1:02 back. Benjamin Noval and George Hincapie did not finish
Sunday's stage.
From ProCycling:
Armstrong admitted beforehand that he wasn’t going to the Algarve with his mind set on winning the
race, and that was underlined as he came in more than a minute behind Landis in 34th place. That
dropped him to fifth overall.
The race was decided on the final hill, which the field tackled twice.
From AFP:
But the 32-year-old American trailed on the final climb after the 178.5km run between Faro and here
to finish in 34th position, over a minute behind Landis who achieved the biggest win of his career,
ahead of Colombia's Victor Hugo Pena who as 26 seconds off the pace.

A question: Does "fell off the pace," "came in more than a minute behind," and "trailed on the final
climb" mean that Krispy was dropped by the third tier field on the final climb?
