About 2 weeks ago our lovely weather people were saying that at that point we'd already had twice as
much snow as the normal January (and it was only half-way through) but NOT TO WORRY! It was still
below the level it was that fateful year and *if we didn't get any more* for a while we'd be just
darned fine.
And then it snowed a bunch in North Dakota. And here. I truly think that we have more snow in the
yard this year than we did then. Our yard floods every year anyway (we're the low spot on the block)
but I'm really not looking forward to spring this year.
Hmm, I wonder if I can run the cable modem cable upstairs for when I have to put all the furniture
down here on blocks (again)....
And (just to keep this On Topic) I'd say that all that shovelling and then furniture moving has got
to be worth some good activity points huh?
🙂
Which reminds me, I have to try and shovel the 2.5 feet of snow off my roof at some point.

I guess I haven't been paying attention. I didn't realize the Red River Valley had received enough
snow this winter to raise concerns about a flood. Here in the Twin Cities, our snowfall to date is
well below normal.
As you know, March doesn't necessarily mean nicer weather in prairie land. Some of our nastiest
weather comes in March. Only when the calendar turns to April do I start acknowledging the
certainty of spring.

more less loving terms for us too...
I know what you mean about feeling the cold though. I don't think I've ever been this cold in my
life. My computer/home office is in the basement and half the time I'm wearing gloves down here
these days. Going outside is horrible - makes me really, really thankful that I work at home!
Looks like the next trip through MN is in March now - I'll let you know when and will wave in
your general direction when we drive past! Should be a little warmer by then at least.

After pizza and apple pie, maintaining is just the ticket!
I've not said anything about how cold it's been here in Minnesota because I knew you
Winnipeggers had bragging rights. Today we're having a heat wave: air temp is already at +1F
(-17C). My BodyPump class had all of 10 people in attendance Thursday night. They gave away
guest passes as a reward for braving the -15F (-26C) air temps. Headlines here read: BEYOND
BITTER!
All I can say is that last week, standing at the bus stop, I FELT the loss of my 68.4 lbs of
insulation.
