I think the wax on the apples are naturally occurring, but I could be wrong. I'm just wondering if
it's not the insecticides you are having problems with, instead.
Apples are very prone to pests and the orchards regularly use pesticides. Though these chemicals
have been deemed "safe", I'm sure there are folks who develop reactions to them. Just as some people
are allergic to certain foods and not others, everyone has different exposure limits to chemicals in
our environment.
