Went to Straub's this morning to order a whole beef tenderloin for dinner on Sunday. While I was
there I picked up some Maytag blue cheese, house made cream of mushroom soup. They had a huge
roast at the meat counter. It was done cajun style. I aske the butcher to slice me 1/2 lb in thin
deli slices (my lunch). I picked up several more items along with a chunk of fresh horseradish. My
total for this morning was $182.43, which is why I don't shop there often. IMO they have some of
the best meat in town and stock a lot of items not available in supermarkes, like $9 jars of
mustard from Germany.
I got home, put the groceries away. I grated some of the horseradish (about a tsp or so)into a
tablespoon of mayo. I added exactly 2 drops of Tiger brand Cajun Pepper Sauce. I chilled it for
about an hour. I forgot to buy bread and had only white bread in the house. No biggie. I smeared the
mayo on both slices of bread and piled the cajun roast beef on. Delish.
