I currently ride with a Campag Centuar double chainset (with a 10 speed block) but have just bought an FSA double chainset which required a Shimano bottom bracket. As a result I need a new bottom bracket but am not sure what dimensions I need and what I need to worry about regarding compatibility with a 10 sped block.
I know my current BB is 68mm, so that is fine, but what length spindle should I get for the new BB?
Is their any issue with compatibility with my 10 speed block?

Many thanks James
BB threading is english.Check with FSA for proper spindle length and type for the specific crank. There are no compatibility issues.
Thanks for the reply boudreaux. The FSA website tells me the crank requires a 103mm spindle and but looking Shimano bottom brackets, the narrowest spindle seems to 109mm. Does this sound right? Surely this would result in too great a Q-factor.

The 109 is a splined spindle. What type spindle does your crank use? Shimano use to make a square taper 103 for the old 8 speed DA crank. They can be hard to find....I also see on the FSA site that some cranks take a 103 octalink BB.There is no 103 octalink BB. I'd ask FSA dierctly .

Thanks again. For clarification, the crank uses Octolink. I will ask FSA directly though, as you suggest.
Cheers, James
