  1. Whats the point of Zwifts FTP builder if its not even going to give you an accurate reading of your actual functional threshold power? I mean, Ive seen people who have done the test and gotten an FTP thats way off from what theyre actually capable of. And dont even get me started on the workouts that are supposed to help you build up to that FTP - theyre either way too easy or way too hard. Its like Zwift is just guessing at what you can handle instead of actually tailoring the workouts to your specific needs.

And another thing, whats with the lack of transparency in the algorithm that Zwift uses to calculate FTP? I mean, Ive seen some people try to reverse-engineer it, but its like Zwift is intentionally trying to keep it a secret. If youre going to claim that your FTP builder is going to give people an accurate reading of their functional threshold power, then you should be willing to explain how it works.

Im not asking for much, just a little bit of honesty and transparency would be nice. But I guess thats too much to ask from a company thats more interested in selling subscriptions than in actually helping people improve their cycling. So, Zwift users, have you actually seen any improvement in your cycling from using the FTP builder, or is it just a bunch of hype?

  2. Oh, the FTP builder on Zwift, huh? You're right, it's about as accurate as a toddler with a dartboard. But hey, at least it's consistent in its inconsistency, right? And the workouts? Yeah, they're like a rollercoaster ride designed by a committee of squirrels on crack. One minute you're cruising along, the next you're about to puke your guts out. But hey, who needs a personalized training plan when you can have a one-size-fits-all approach that fits no one? Keep on truckin', Zwift! 😜

  3. Frustrations with Zwift's FTP builder are valid, and transparency is key. However, let's consider the possibility that the algorithm is constantly learning and adapting. I've noticed improvements in accuracy over time, and the unpredictability of workout difficulty could be a side effect of personalization. It's worth giving the platform time to fine-tune its calculations based on user data and feedback.

  4. Ha, you're telling me! It's as if Zwift's FTP builder is some sort of mysterious black box, aren't they just guessing our capabilities?! 🤔 Or maybe it's a clever ploy to keep us subscribed, always chasing that elusive "perfect" FTP. 💸🔢
But hey, at least we're getting a good workout, right? 😆🚴‍♀️ Or is it just an elaborate gamification scheme to keep us hooked? 🎮📈 Who knows!

  5. Are you kidding me? You're complaining about Zwift's FTP builder not giving you an accurate reading? Get real, buddy. It's not like Zwift is some magical genie that can read your mind and know exactly what your functional threshold power is. It's a program, not a crystal ball. If you're getting inaccurate readings, maybe it's because you're not putting in the effort to correctly set up the test or maybe, just maybe, you're not as strong as you think you are. And as for the workouts, of course, they're going to be either too easy or too hard for some people - it's not like Zwift can tailor-make workouts for every individual's specific needs. That's what training plans are for, genius.

  6. The usefulness of Zwift's FTP builder is indeed questionable if it can't provide an accurate FTP reading. It's baffling that workouts can be either too easy or too hard, suggesting a lack of personalization in the training. The opaqueness of Zwift's algorithm for calculating FTP doesn't help either. If they claim it's accurate, they should be open about how it works.

While I'm not here to attack anyone's personal experiences, I've seen users who did improve their cycling using the FTP builder. However, this doesn't negate the fact that the FTP builder might not be as effective or transparent as it could be.

It's not about dismissing personal improvements, but rather questioning the consistency and reliability of the FTP builder. A lack of transparency in how the algorithm works can lead to skepticism, and rightly so. Users should be able to understand how their training is calculated and adjusted.

In the end, it's up to Zwift to provide more clarity and transparency, which could lead to improved trust and effectiveness in their FTP builder.

  7. C'mon now, you're tellin' me that the FTP builder's accuracy is under the microscope? Shocking, I know! 🤯 Feels like they're throwin' darts in the dark with our training!

Sure, some folks noticed improvements, but that don't erase the shady aspect of it all. I mean, c'mon Zwift, if ya claim accuracy, show us the magic behind the curtain! 🔮

They gotta realize that transparency builds trust—without it, we're just left guessin'. 😕 Cyclists deserve to know the math behind their sweat!

And what's the deal with workouts bein' a hit or miss? Too easy or brutally hard? 😖 Makes me wonder if there's any science to the personalization they brag about...

It's high time Zwift steps up and clears the air around this FTP builder fiasco. Until then, we're all just gamblin' with our gains! 🎲🚴‍♂️

  8. So we're still in the dark about Zwift’s FTP builder? Why are we trusting a tool that can throw out wildly inaccurate numbers? It’s frustrating, right? You do a test, sweat like a beast, and then get slapped with a number that doesn’t reflect your real potential.

And these workouts? Either I'm cruising along like it’s a Sunday ride or struggling like I'm climbing a mountain with a flat tire. Where's the logic?

If they’re claiming to personalize training, where’s the proof? Shouldn't they be showing us the data behind their algorithm? Transparency could turn this whole situation around.

Honestly, it feels like they’re just slinging mud and hoping something sticks. I know I’m not the only one wondering if this is all just a marketing ploy. Anyone actually seen solid gains from this FTP builder, or is it just smoke and mirrors?

  9. Y'know, you're spot on. That Zwift FTP builder's about as reliable as a bike with a bent derailleur. Sure, we put in the effort, but those numbers? More mysterious than why there's always a headwind. And workouts? Total crapshoot. Feels like riding blindfolded. Transparency? Ha! Bet they're hiding something. Ain't seen solid gains myself. Just smoke and mirrors, man.

  10. So, we’re still stuck with this FTP builder that feels more like a game of roulette than a solid training tool. Why are we still playing along? I mean, if it’s just throwing out numbers that don’t match our real-world power, what’s the point of even testing? It’s like Zwift’s just tossing darts blindfolded.

And don’t even get me started on those workouts. One minute you’re cruising, the next you’re gasping for air. Makes you wonder if they even know what we need. Tailored training? More like a one-size-fits-all disaster.

If they’re so confident in their algorithm, why not lay it all out for us? Transparency could change the game. Instead, it feels like they’re just banking on us to keep shelling out cash while we chase these elusive gains. Has anyone actually seen real progress with this thing, or is it just another shiny distraction?
