Excellent! That's my kind of picture! Did you use contrast masking or what?

A camping stove. I used to be a big fan of petrol because it was so cheap, easily available and
works great in the depths of winter, but it's a bit volatile and after at least three very exciting
flare ups in the tent porch I decided to switch to gas. A bit more pricey but much lighter and more
controllable, and much safer for cooking in the porch, which is a commonplace activity when camping
in the colder, wilder, darker months of the year.

I've never been in that situation, a brew up has always been possible. Of course, I've always used
tents with decent sized porches, but even with the APA, you can cook out of the side of the tent if
you pitch it carefully so that the entrance is to the lee of the wind.
If you really must cook inside the APA, it can be done. Go outside, unhook the inner tent from the
outer and peg the outer back on its own (a bit fiddly but it can be done) then when you're back
inside the tent you can roll back the inner to create a decent porch space for cooking.
