Ekk. Was out yesterday for a ride. Nice sunny morning, just
very, very windy.
Since it was ment to be a long steady ride, Chris and I just settled
down to a nice steady 15mph plod and didn't try and fight the wind.
Two hours later we see a dark, dark, dark sky ahead. Very dramatic -
still sunny but with huge dark clouds. 10 mins after that the wind
is tryin gto blow me off my bike and violent hail is trying (successfully)
to exfoliate my right cheek. Could take a hand off the bars to shield
by face for fear of falling off!
After about 5 mins of this I couldn't brake since my hands were frozen.
Couldn't stop either since there was no shelter anywhere.
It passed over in about 20 mins but it was unpleasant while it lasted!
When I got home and peeled my tights off my legs where a nice shade
of red. Had to stand in the shower for a long while to get warm again.
