I was reading the pizza posts below, and was wondering: why is a food (any food) supposedly "better"
in it's country of origin than here in the U.S.?
I personally believe American pizza simply dwarfs its italian predicessor. Why is there so little
italian pizza in the U.S.? Because nobody wants it! Italian "pizza" is an impotent concoction of
crunchy, paper thin "bread" that is so unappetizing that it has to be covered up by a feable excuse
for tomato sauce and (what appear to be) rotten, overcooked herbs like fresh basil leaves. And no, I
don't like four large lumps of grainy mozzarella placed confusingly on the top. Grate your cheese,
please. And give me some meat baby!
