Hi quick question, anyone know if a fork with 1 1/8 " Fit on my old 2000 USPS 5200 trek that's supposed to currently have a 1"" steerer. I know I should be asking the LBS but due to the age of this bike I have to purchase some things from eBay and try to do some of the easy work on my own. Thanks

Straight off - no.
It MAY be possible, if you replace the headset. -
It's been done on some 1" BMX and mountain bike frames my mixing and matching various headset and crown race parts with an 1-1/8" fork. That said, I don't think I would try it.
