  1. Hi all,

I've been to see several different doctors about this repeating problem I've been getting over the
    last 1-2 years.

They've been no use at all and a friend suggested I use my experience with the internet to research
the problem. To that end I thought it wise to start with the newsgroup and find some well informed
regulars to point me to some specific newsgroups and websites.

And thats it. If you can help me or direct me to some good information sources I'd much
    appreciate it.

I put this together and I'm going to update it as I think of stuff:

    stri.no-ip.comill.txt

    Cheers

  2. Have you had blood tests - especially for thyroid problems & anaemia?

Could be mast cell disorder (I only know a bit about this as I'm being tested for it myself) which
includes as it's possible symptoms tachycardia (racing heart) palpitations, hot flushes, enhanced
sensitivity to heat and cold, general malaise, and allergic type symptoms, breathing problems &
quite a lot of other odd things. I put a post about this at the google group alt.med.allergy if you
want to know more..tho it probably won't appear till tomorrow.

Give this a read. nlm.nih.gov000312.htm It's called Hypokalemic
Periodic Paralysis - a potassium shift - causes muscle weakness. It took me eight years to discover
this was the cause of my problem. Also, look search on that site for 'Hyperkalemic' - the opposite
condition, yet many of the same symptoms.

Also, you have the classic symptoms of a major food allergy - milk or wheat.

    Best of luck.

I've experienced all of those symptoms. I'll check out the post. Thanks.

  5. You might want to try an anti-histamine next time you have symptoms - anti histamines will be
effective for symptoms caused by mast cell probs - defective mast cells (or too many of them) will
dump histamine into your system, causing all sorts of problems. I take Zirtek as I find it doesn't
    cause any side effects.
