my budget is about $1500Aus (a bit less US). I'd be using the bike mainly for commuting, throwing in a small tour here and there. I ride each day but the distances vary (sometimes a mere 2kms, sometimes 10 kms each way).
The other thing I'm worried about is that the reach might be a bit short if I change the drop downs to a flat bar...
