  1. I was Just curious how much ya"ll ride. Me and my wife ride about 50 miles a week. I am still on my Hybrid but want to ride more once I get my road bike. With our work schedule and my 13mph average on the Hybrid...that is all for now but plan on more when I get the road bike!🙂

  2. 100-250 miles/week in the summer depending on whether and where I'm in a build or a taper phase, and around 8 hrs/week mostly indoors in the winter.

  3. With my current work schedule I just hope to get in 7 hours a week of quality training time, which typically equates to >100 miles a week.

I wish I could get in at least 10 hours a week as a non competitive cyclist.

  4. I get in about 85 miles a week and that's riding 3 days. That's all I'm able to do with my schedule.

  5. Depends ALOT on my schedule with school, girls, work, friends whatever, perhaps 100 miles a good week :-)

  6. I didn't ride at all in '07 or '08 and didn't get started this year until the last Saturday in July.

But since the last Saturday in July I've put a little over 500 miles on my 2 road bikes.

My first ride of the summer was about 20 miles, and my average speed was a little over 12 mph.

Yesterday I rode 38 miles and averaged 16.2 mph.

So, I'm still a slow geezer on a bike 😄, but I'm improving and I really love riding bikes, the more I get to ride the more I enjoy it.

  7. I just started about 2, 2.5 months ago, but I do about 100 miles a week, consisting of 2 30 mile rides on days off, and 2 15-20 mile rides on work days. Usually try to ride every other day.

  8. I'm getting in about 110~120 a week riding Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturday AM and Sunday evening. (6~7 hrs/week). I try to do intervals or ride hills Tuesdays and Saturdays. In the winter I ride a mountain bike with studded tires out at my friends place. (He has 120 acres that is groomed with a skid steer to keep the trails open.

  9. Here in Florida, I kind of intend to go out every day (late afternoons), but iffy weather usually ends up keeping me in two or sometimes three times a week. So my weekly mileage is usually around 80 to 100 miles. About 1/4 of those miles would be interval efforts of different types. I limit my racing to 5k and 10k TT's, and that training regimen keeps me very competitive on a state level. If I wanted to do longer TT's, I would have to put in a lot more miles, I think, to remain competitive.

  10. Not enough.

  11. Denny, I am in Florida as well.(N. Fl.) All this rain has kept me off the bike for the last week or two.😠

  12. at this point and time, nowhere near enough but i make up for it with my posting! 😉

  13. Intervals (threshold or VO2) Tu/Thurs for 90-105 min, Hard tempo Sat 2-2.5 hrs, moderate tempo Sunday 3 hours, 30 minute recovery rides/runs or off M/W/F. About 100 miles on the weekends, 30-35/interval session. The recovery rides are typically on rollers and very easy.

    Hey Two,
Where in Florida? I'm in the Sarasota area. Actually, we seem to be in a pocket where the rain gets funneled either north or south. But when I look at the radar map and see us surrounded by the red and yellow stuff, it's silly to take a chance and go out. And then it doesn't rain, most of the time anyway.

  15. I can tell you my CTL but have no idea how far I ride :p

    Aug 2009: 3,017 TSS = 681 TSS/week average

OK, I just looked it up. According to my data I rode ~ 1,375km in August. That's roughly 310km/week on average.

    27-32 hours/week. Not including core work/stretching/strength (7 hours/week?)

I train full time though. Booyah
