New frame question

Not a problem. You have der adjust on the RD at the RD and once the FD is adjusted WELL and properly, no further FD adjustment is needed. If ya gotta have it(altho, not needed IMO) get some inline cable adjusters.

I agree with Peter V. I installed cables on my Cannondale without the adjusters and it's just fine. I did pick up a set of the inline barrells originally, but never bothered installing them.

+2. When my frame was built, I asked the builder why he "left off" the micro-adjusters on the downtube. He said they weren't needed, that they were just more junk to clutter the bike, plus potential corrosion issues.

He was right of course. With correct setup and maybe one "break-in" adjustment, there's no need to "adjust" the FD cable since nothing changes.

'on the bike' ajustments are occasionally handy if you have problem in a race (or whatever), you can't stop to adjust the derailleurs.

Inline 'barrel' adjusters are fine -- I have 2 on my aluminium Cervelo Soloist.
