I'm still trying to figure out the point of this video, unless it is

probably the main reason why Milli (or was it Vanilli**) killed himself,
seems grossly overblown. They were the pretty faces that fronted for
actual composers and singers who were, apparently, perfectly happy to
have them do it. The outrage seems to come down to the fact that Pilatus
and Morvan were identified as the actual singers in the US liner notes,
and they accepted a Grammy for it. This seems only slightly more silly
than worrying that Roderick Jaynes didn't really edit "No Country for
Old Men." Indeed, there's a case to be made that Daft Punk has been more

over-rated: people think they are a crummy ABBA knock-off band, when in
fact they are an astoundingly terrible and downright infuriatingly bad

To a degree, they are. Cobain had a fairly predictable style - after you heard a
couple of his songs, you knew the structure of almost all of them. Having said that,
he (like BJ Armstrong) did write a few good hooks.
