rims and wheels, complete set. I've been looking at Topolino. they are a new company using carban and Kevlar. A pair of wheels weigh 1390 grams.

Forgot to tell you, you can see them at www.topolinotech.com/index.html -

If you're talking tires, it's probably be the Tufo tubular clincher. The tire is certainly not the
lightest at ~260 gms but it doesn't take a tube. It is essentially a tubular with a ridge around
either side to fit on the hook bead of the rim.I have been longing to try them but at ~$70 per, I don't think so.

grams, to say nothing of 130 grams.-Owen

Thanks Josh
those look nice and they are lighter than the Topolinos I was looking at. Do you know if they are a strong wheel? And do they hold up well?
thanx for the help

But expect a fair few flats unless your road is guaranteed super clean.I use Veloflex Master (170g) instead, as a kind of insurance.

wheels, American Classic, Mavic, Bontrager, etc. all make light wheels. Seems like mostly nonsense
to me, but it's your bike, your money and your ride. Ride whatcha like! -

aluminium rims, light hubs (Tune, etc.) and thin spokes. Although I don't know the price of the
wheels you mentioned, having a pair built from standard parts would likely be cheaper and certanily
more easily serviced.-as

They have held up fine for me, but I'm only 150 lbs.
Unlike the topolinos, the AmClassic cr350s can be fixed by anyone if a spoke breaks since they use
normal spokes.American Classic's recently announced a 300g magnesium rim.

are in production yet.The 350s got a good review on Cyclingnews.com. I only know one person who has a pair. I believe he's
pretty happy with them, but then again he's about 6" tall and maybe 135 pounds, so I don't think he
tests their durability very well. Josh Zlotlow [email hidden] Sacramento, California Sacramento

A 210 gram tire plus a 65g tube is not unusual for regular clinchers nowadays, I guess I'm saying
that at 260g for $80 that model isn't all that light. (This series starts at $38 which is moderate
pricing now for a tire/tube replacement.)If you are a weight obsessed rider there's a 225gram model at $104.
I haven't used the Tufo C Elite Jet TEW at 225 grams but it does seem like there's just not very
much material. . .--

usually varied by an ounce or two. And you know that when quoting weights, they'll go through a
batch to find the lightest ones. So if you go through a bin of those 225g tires, you'll probably
find some that are that light, most are a bit heavier, and some are much (if you can call it
that) heavier. As if it matters anyway...

I'll sell you my Rolf Sestriere Ti wheels -- I don't remember the exact weight, but I think they're
1400-something. They're almost new -- just a few hundred miles. They have Hugi-type hubs and normal
DT spokes, so they can be serviced by anyone who knows what they're doing.Matt O.

I actually weighed a small sample of Tufo tubulars ( five ) that are supposed to 195 grams and they
were all within ten grams of the stated weight. YMMV. .
