well i'm converting a old mtb bike into a city commuter. I've got everything ripped off right now and the ss conversion almost done. I serouisly thing about just putting a rigid fork on because i won't taking it offroad much.
what forks would you reccomend?? i'm think'n the kona p2 project would be my 1st choice

Have you checked out Surly forks? They make some nice cromo steel forks that are great for commuting. check out the 1x1 and the instigator
Salsa Cromoto looks good at about the same price as the Surly's.
The Cromoto has tapered blades which look better and may be more shock absorbing.
I have an instigator on one of my bikes and my son has a Cromoto on his.
Axle to crown length was the main factor for me. The 1x1 is the shortest, then the Cromoto and then the Instigator.
