Quoted message said:Don't take it so personally. It's a joke, Literally and obviously.
You can find far more websites containing arguments against the interests
of the nuclear family, the home-owner, the adult male and (especially) the
car driver. Given that background, I have no doubt that the Facebook
members concerned are possessed of an acute sense of irony. Some others
should try it some time.
And perhaps some of them should remember: "Do unto others as you would
have them do unto you", because sometimes, some of them *will* do unto
you.
This is absolute rubbish and tripe Nugent. Honestly I don't understand how
you can imagine or attribute notions to these awful people like "irony" or
an "obvious joke".
Two of our club members were very nearly injured today (just 4 or 5 hours
ago) by similar fun seeking jokers. It's their legs, arms and livelihoods
that are endangered by these brainless cretins.
Come out with us next week and see how durable your humour is. Please meet
us at 9.00 p.m. , venue on club runs page, www.calder-clarion.co.uk , club
runs page.

Thank you for your very kind offer, John. I shan't be able to take it
up (I will either be at work on a weekday or doing other things at the
weekend, and there's nothing to suggest that it would be
geographically convenient in any case).
Of *course* the Facebook "group" is a joke (there is more than one of
them, BTW*). If you really believe it's not a joke - or, as it might
better be put, a wind-up (and one that seems to have worked) - why not
report it to the police? You know it's not a threat.
Have a little look around Facebook (it won't take long). There are
absolutely loads of self-styled "hate groups" professing to be against
this group or that group, or even against specific individuals. Who
knows - you may well be able to find a Facebook group that says they
hate motorists. You might be able to find more than one of those. Are
you worried about that? I'm not.
Here are just a few of Facebook's "hate" groups:
I Hate Men
I Hate Jeremy Kyle
We Hate Yids
I Hate Traffic Wardens With A Passion (especially in Bromey0 [sic]
I f****** hate Ken Livingston and any other anti-Semites
I hate London bus-drivers
i hate toilet attendants [sic]
Hate Public Transport
Are you in such bad company?
And in any case - are you entitled to be liked? Or not to be hated?
[* There are at least a dozen groups there who profess to hate
cyclists. There are also quite a few "hate groups" run by *cyclists*
who hate other sorts of road-users (particularly the users of
motor-vehicles). Is that better, the same, or worse?]
