If you eat alone, do you ever eat at your kitchen or dining room table?
Tonight I almost did..........I like my kitchen and dining room. But opted
for in front of the tv since the table looked way too big - and empty!

I don't have a dining room table LOL I eat in front of the TV most of the
time, even if it's not turned on.

Back when I did often eat alone, always ate at the dining room table
(which was actually in my living room), tiny though it was. Nice view
out the large window. Didn't have a TV (and didn't want one LOL) so that
wouldn't have been an option.
Unfortunately my mother does have a TV and it is on during meal times.
Our meals are still eaten at the dining room table, which is in the
dining room. Strange place for it don't you think LOL.

1/3rd kitchen counter
1/3rd dining room table (kitchen table way too cluttered)
1/3rd desk

Depends on whether I'm eating a meal or a snack, and how messy the
food is. Meals are almost always at the table, no matter who is
involved. I sometimes take snacks at my desk if I'm home alone, but
not anything too messy, because I'm clumsy.
My niblings are allowed food at the computer, but not drinks (or,
for instance, cereal-with-milk).

I have six cats, I never eat alone. I eat meals at the dining table.
If it's some snack the cats won't eat, like fruit, I may eat at the
PC, or if the weather permits I will sit out on the deck

Fortunately, that does not happen often. When it does (like weekday
breakfast once or twice) I sit at a small cafe style table in the family
room and watch the morning news.
Weekday lunches are usually at a table in my office or the conference room
with a co-worker. We've been eating lunch together for years.
Dinner with my wife is either at the dining room table or the small table in
the family room. In summer it is on the deck.

You've got some strange cats, Sheldon. There are so many I know that eat
grapes, melons, etc. Face it, cats are weird and will surprise you all the
time. Persia likes to steal cornbread.

When I 'grab a bite,' I will sit sometimes in front of the TV or computer,
but seldom;
but if I have a 'plate' of food and am alone, I will always eat at the
dining room table in the dining room.
Even though it a fairly good sized room and the table is out at its fullest,
it is connected to the kitchen where there is no bar or kitchen table, so I
don't have much choice.
If I want to turn on a TV or radio I could, but I eat in silence and gaze
out the window. I never read at the table, although I used to years ago.
Actually I only eat two full meals a day (with a few social events in
between ;-)) ), so I always like to get the mileage out of them. If I do
something else while I'm eating, I haven't even been aware that I was
eating. What a waste of good fun.

Getting off topic, but I love talking about cats.
We've got a cat that loves raw potatoes, raw tomatoes and raw mushrooms.
Cats are just plain weird...

Grapes are poison to cats and dogs.

Due to the open floor plan of the house, I could eat in the dining room
and watch TV if I chose. I'd rather be closer to the TV though, so I
almost exclusively eat at the coffee table.

Onions and garlic, yes. Never heard of a problem with dogs or cats eating
grapes.

Yes, grapes are highly toxic to dogs; probably to cats too. e.

Yup, cats are weird. I have on that loves marshmallows, angel food cake,
and powdered sugar donuts. The other one loves pistachios and black olives.
