Sometimes a recipe will call for a box of Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix.
Here's a clone recipe you can make at home.

This recipe is equal to one 8.5 ounce box of Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix

    Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix Clone

That's great and while I appreciate your effort in typing all this out,
there are much better recipes for cornbread.

    Of course there are.

This recipe is the corn bread equivalent of Biskquick. Not the best,
    but useful sometimes.

That's called cornbread (with way too much sugar in it).

AND, Rusty's formula does not have the trans-fats that Jiffy and
    Bisquick STILL HAVE.

    Jill

The recipe is titled, "Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix Clone", not Southern
    Cornbread.
Anyone interested in making Southern Cornbread wouldn't be using Jiffy
    or a clone, anyway.

According to the nutritional information on the Jiffy box, it has
7g of sugar per serving and 6 servings per box. That's a total of 42g
    of sugar.

    http://www.jiffymix.com/cornnutrition.htm

Granulated sugar is 4g per teaspoon. This recipe contains 9 teaspoons
or 36g of sugar, so this
recipe has slightly less sugar than that listed on the Jiffy label.

Notice that the pieces of [censored] who make the junk put 0g trans fat on
the label. They reduce the poison to just under 0.5g per serving so
    they can legally do that.
Certain capitalists should be flayed and salted, and the videos posted

Notice that pieces of [censored] like you just can't stop whining about
things that don't concern them, but feel they must force their
    unfound beliefs on others.

I don't see anything in my current box of Jiffy that indicates
there's any transfats at all - no hydrolized anything.

Dude, just write and/or sing a song about transfats in your
punkway and get it over with. Maybe you can change the world, or
something. Maybe you can sell it to Frito-Lay, or something.

I don't care what you call it, Rusty. It's a recipe for cornbread. If you
can put that together you certainly don't need to buy Jiffy mix.

While there may be better recipes on the web, if this is really a
(close) Jiffy clone - I'd be happy with it. I like Jiffy Mix.
