    Pound quits World Anti-Doping Agency
Last Updated: Tuesday, September 18, 2007 | 12:35 PM ET
    CBC News
Canadian [censored] Pound has confirmed he's leaving his job as head of the
    World Anti-Doping Agency.

Pound told CBC News he will wrap up his work at the agency at the end
    of the year.

He's probably moving to the US dept. of Justice, Homeland Security, or
the UN, all places where a total lack of morals and ethics are seen as
    huge plusses.

I wonder if that means Floyd got off.

According to _Absolutely False_ Pound announced in 2006 that he was
stepping down in Nov 2007. Seems too early to be due to the Landis
    case.

I was under the impression he was moving to the CAS which
would result in the CAS becoming completely redundant as there
would be no point in appealing to them.

    I'm praying that rumor isn't confirmed. I can't think of a worse
    choice, except maybe Lemond.

Oooh, nice leap. Free Floyd _and_ Lose A Pound all wrapped up in one
    neat package!

Are you kidding? More likely to be Pound's retirement
race - the crit they hold in the retiree's hometown where
he gets to ceremonially and emotionally cross the line
    first.

There's always the possibility that whoever replaces
Pound will also be a sanctimonious putz. It goes
    with the job.

Hopefully, not another loudmouthed, trash-talking, counter-productive
    sanctimonious putz.

I think you forgot "self-aggrandizing" in that.
