Pound told CBC News he will wrap up his work at the agency at the end of the year.
He's probably moving to the US dept. of Justice, Homeland Security, or the UN, all places where a total lack of morals and ethics are seen as huge plusses. Bill C

I was under the impression he was moving to the CAS which would result in the CAS becoming completely redundant as there would be no point in appealing to them.

Are you kidding? More likely to be Pound's retirement race - the crit they hold in the retiree's hometown where he gets to ceremonially and emotionally cross the line first.
There's always the possibility that whoever replaces Pound will also be a sanctimonious putz. It goes with the job.
