elected president who ran a democratic government. That is until we had

itQuoted message said:Quoted message said:any wonder they think we're hypocrites and untrustworthy? We destroyed
their only hope for a true democracy and gave them 23 years of a brutal
dictator because Mussadegh decided to throw out the US oil companies and
nationalize their oil production. As soon as the Shah was in, the oil
companies were back in business.Quoted message said:Quoted message said:Paul- Hide quoted text -

Quoted message said:And I don't see Amanijahd closing down his wells either. I still don't
see any reference to the hate seminar where Iran invited all kinds of
folks, including David Duke, to discuss how the holocaust never took
place. Sounds like you're trying to make excuses for their hate.
Wonder if you'd have done the same thing in the 30s.OK, how about this: Iran has entered into oil production agreements with
Russia and China. The US is not on the list. Also, Iran is trading oil in
Euros, not dollars. That is not something we can allow to go on. It's
called "petro dollar recycling" and it is the only thing keeping us from a
recession so deep you'd need a ton of dollar bills to buy a quart of milk.Paul- Hide quoted text -

You are dreaming. The US hasn't had diplomatic relations with Iran
ever since the hostage taking at the embassy. They have the same
effect on the US as Cuba does. Perhaps if Iran would actually
acquiesce to Israel's right to exist like just about every other major
Mideastern nation, then perhaps things would go a lot smoothly. But
they never will because they are haters.
