Odd Tupperware Items

Got one too. It's mono-color and complete. Always used it right up
until someone told me I ought to be forking my burger patties and
pressing indentions in the center to keep them from cooking into meat
balls. Life used to be so simple. And dumb.

I have one of those. I am pretty sure at the moment I have two
of the hamburger sections in my freezer, together they made the
perfect size to hold some leftover blueberries from last year.

I should get rid of them, I guess. My Tupperware cabinet is
in disarray and I need the room. I certainly don't use them for
burgers any more.

I do understand. On occasion I have seen new items, even older
ones. But buying used plastics does have the ooky factor, I'll give
you that. I haven't, yet. Almost ... I want a refrigerator pitcher.

Haven't bought any Tupperware in *years*. IMHO, it's overrated (not to
mention very expensive compared to other brands). I am quite happy with
the "lesser-brand name" stuff - it's a fraction of the the price and it
seems to last for ages too.

I don't want a round pitcher, those are easy to come by. I want
a narrow one. Plastic.

They still sell those popsicle things, too! You know, where your mom would
put Kool-Aid or some fruit drink in them and freeze them because it was
cheaper than buying actual popsicles. Hmmm, they were never quite as good.

When I went off to work like a dutiful little daughter at age 18 Mom gave me
a Tupperware lunch box. I still have some pieces of it around. It was a
square that held a sandwich holder, a container for some fruit and a drink
holder, sort of an adult "sippy cup" which every 18 year old should have.
(laughing) They all fit together in a nice little lunch box container. I
see they don't sell those anymore. Probably because they were totally
embarrassing even if I'd been 8 instead of 18. They do sell lunchbox things
and yes, from the photo it has a place for a juice-box! Oh goody!

Cathy, you're absolutely right. Rubbermaid and some of the knock-offs are
cheaper than Tupperware, you don't have to host (or attend) a "party" to buy
them. They work just as well, if not better.

I'm very happy with it. The mixer device works quite well.

I second that endorsement; I have one and use it regularly. It is
especially good for mixing things like lemonade, OJ reconstituted from
frozen, etc. I have also used it on occasion to prepare and dole out
vinegar-based BBQ mopping sauce; the mixer part is great to keep the mop
well mixed - just pump it up and down a couple times before each use.

year old plastic item? I used to keep iced tea in it, so you can
imagine the discoloration. I used it for a year or so, then put it
away. Perhaps it is only thirty years old, I don't remember.

I will send it to you. It has an eight cup (64 ounces) capacity. You
will throw it out, but at least you can see that some still exist.
Perhaps you will find a new one on eBay.

Haha! My ploy worked! Got me a free pitcher. (laugh) Thank you
so much, Margaret, you don't need to do that. My problem is that
the jar I use to make iced tea is rather unwieldy and is not condusive
to a neat pour. I'm tired of cleaning up iced tea from the counter.
