I do understand. On occasion I have seen new items, even older
ones. But buying used plastics does have the ooky factor, I'll give
    you that. I haven't, yet. Almost ... I want a refrigerator pitcher.

I have one. It is really ooky, but what can one expect from a 50 plus
year old plastic item? I used to keep iced tea in it, so you can imagine
the discoloration. I used it for a year or so, then put it away. Perhaps
it is only thirty years old, I don't remember.

I will send it to you. It has an eight cup (64 ounces) capacity. You
will throw it out, but at least you can see that some still exist. Perhaps
you will find a new one on eBay.

Haha! My ploy worked! Got me a free pitcher. (laugh) Thank you
so much, Margaret, you don't need to do that. My problem is that
the jar I use to make iced tea is rather unwieldy and is not condusive
to a neat pour. I'm tired of cleaning up iced tea from the counter.

If it's not one thing, it's another.

Nancy, I killed it. :o( I wanted to scrub it as clean as possible and
the whole thing came apart at a seam or something. The only good thing
about it is, that it was not the thin pitcher you wanted, but a high
round one, almost like a very tall plastic glass with a cover. I am
such an idiot! This is the first day in I don't know how long, that I
am able to get to rfc (Debbie had to change my cable connection from
Earthlink to Roadrunner and she exchanged her keypad for mine, because I
rubbed off all the letters) and I do this stupid thing. It's a good
thing I did it to you, you know already how idiotic I am.

I am sorry. Really. Hugs, M

Last I heard Stan was with you. I thought maybe he locked you
in a closet or something. He's like that.

You ought to try to return it to Tupperware. The big thing that they
used to tout was their "Lifetime" warranty. See if they will replace it!

My mother gave me a, um, set? I guess you'd call it in 1980. Didn't realize
they still made these. I have no idea where the "press" thing is and the
ring that came with it. I've used the little bowls for various things
including acting as a misen place and oh, one of them I use for giving milk
    to my cat.

I just put two of those ring things in the recycle box tonight...
should I fish them out for you? I'm sure if I searched carefully I
could find the rest of the set, including the presser.

Haven't bought any Tupperware in *years*. IMHO, it's overrated (not to
mention very expensive compared to other brands). I am quite happy
with the "lesser-brand name" stuff - it's a fraction of the the price
and it seems to last for ages too.

    Quoted message said:

When I went off to work like a dutiful little daughter at age 18 Mom gave
    me
a Tupperware lunch box. I still have some pieces of it around. It was a
square that held a sandwich holder, a container for some fruit and a drink
holder, sort of an adult "sippy cup" which every 18 year old should have.
(laughing) They all fit together in a nice little lunch box container. I
see they don't sell those anymore. Probably because they were totally
embarrassing even if I'd been 8 instead of 18. They do sell lunchbox
    things
and yes, from the photo it has a place for a juice-box! Oh goody!

    Quoted message said:

Cathy, you're absolutely right. Rubbermaid and some of the knock-offs are
cheaper than Tupperware, you don't have to host (or attend) a "party" to
    buy
them. They work just as well, if not better.

    Quoted message said:

    Jill

You don't have to deal with a party at all to buy Tupperware. You call the
dealer and say "I want this, here's some money, have a nice day

Yeah, but... doesn't the Tupperware party come with a sex toy matinee?

thing I couldn't get from my ex during our divorce negotiations.

A lot of those hard-to-find T'ware things were hostess premiums - only
available if you gave a T'ware party. That's what you should do, Joe,
and see if you can get one that way. ;-)
